How much is produced, where, on what area, at what yield — and how much of each figure is a measurement rather than an estimate.
Every figure here is read from an official statistical release and keeps three things that market summaries usually drop: the unit its source published it in, the status its source gave it, and the release it came from. Nothing is converted, smoothed, interpolated or projected.
Series from different sources are never merged. FAOSTAT reports calendar years and USDA reports marketing years, which differ by commodity and by country; drawing them as one line would invent a series neither publishes.

USDA Foreign Agricultural Service — Production, Supply and Distribution (PSD) online bulk download
Every PSD value is recorded as estimated. USDA describes PSD as official supply and use data reviewed monthly by an interagency committee chaired by the World Agricultural Outlook Board, with input from agricultural attaches and analysts — an estimate, not an enumeration. The bulk file carries no per-value status flag.
